The aim of this game mode is for you to achieve more ranks than your opponent, with a total of seven attempts.
To start a game in Towers Duel, you need to press the Play button displayed on the main game screen and select the Towers Duel option.
Before starting the game, you will have the opportunity to:
- Choose the language of the game and review its instructions by pressing the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Invite friends to download the application or challenge those who already have it. You can swipe the bar to the left to see all your possible opponents.
If you prefer to face a random opponent, just press Play.
Once inside the game screen, you will see two towers, one belonging to your opponent and the other to you. At the bottom of the screen, you will see six boxes representing each of the game categories: History, Science, Geography, Art, Entertainment, and Sports.
To compete for a category, you will have to click on its box, and you will be offered questions with the aim of getting the most correct answers in a row. If you get more correct answers than your opponent, you will get the character of the category and this will be added to your tower. If you answer incorrectly, you will lose an attempt and your streak will be cut short.
Although the Duel will be won by the player who has won the most categories, it is possible that the game will end earlier by Checkmate. You can read more about this in the article Why did Tower Duel end in checkmate?
You win a category when you get a longer streak of correct questions than your opponent. Keep in mind that you can use your attempts as many times as you want in each category. This means that just as you can win characters, your opponent can play again in that category to try to take them away from you.
In the event of a tie in characters when time's up, the player who has got the most questions correct in total wins.
Remember that, over the course of the duel, you can win or lose medals, depending on your ability to answer the questions correctly. To better understand how medals work, we invite you to visit the following article: What are medals, and what are they for?
